Lot's of inside information, I have recommended this book to several baseball friends.

The first 50 pages is a scouting handbook that delves into the procedure of catch, throw, and hit. Mentions that due to physical size today's players are better than players of the past. (?)Talks about reports and draft procedure, inside baseball that is insightful and occasionally humorous. Gets into scouts, some are clueless and some are treated poorly by cross-checkers who know little which sounds frustrating. Provides lists of who he considers the best players.Shares some articles he wrote that pertain to prospects which are insightful and then articles and encounters with former players that are insightful. Mentions agents and poaching players. As a parent of a high school baseball player I have often wondered what exactly scouts look for today. The information from this book by author Dave Perkin has helped put my son on the scouting radar. We are very happy to have D1 coaches and MLB scouts asking about our son.
