I have to say, Wow! I have an elementary school aged child and I'm a bit on the weak side, but love knowledge. Great book! Great content for science. Really, it will help respond to your child and improve the quality of life with its simple explanations of valuable information.
Gets a bit complicated the further one reads in the English section; however, it does refresh me on so much and most of the wording is easy to understand.
I saw this at Borders. Loved it and bought it on Amazon.It's a perfect collection of knowledge we've learned but have mostly forgotten about.I love trivia so this book helps me remember those random facts not everyone remembers.I really like the format used in the book. I like the humor behind it as well.The quizzes at the end of each chapter was surprising! I didn't want to be tested on the knowledge! But I guess that's the whole point! I like to skip to the quiz first to see what I already think I know. It's not as easy as you'd think!I will keep this on my shelf and possibly in the bathroom for some light reading. :)
It's fun to have and to distract your self from time to time.
Saw this book on a table somewhere and hunted it down. It really is full of stuff I once knew and have since forgotten...too cool!
I have forgotten all of this stuff - it's a good reminder of those pesky things we can never remember. It's good we now have spell checkers. We need a checker for math, etc, too!!!
Everything comes back pretty quick after reading through this. Just takes a little memory trigger, methinks. Worth the moolah to keep the ol' noggin sharp.
Cutie, fun read. Quick guide. Teaches the basic and more that we all need to know I love these types of books an enjoy reding them a lot .
