I have been a fan of this series since the beginning and I can say without a doubt it is one of the best zombie genre series I have read! From book one Origins (which I would recommend you start with so you know how everything got rolling and who the characters are), the action started and never lets up! This series takes you on a journey with a group of teens who do everything they can to survive in a crazy world over run with The Turned. They have no training and they learn what to do by the seat of their pants. The characters are well written and very believable. I have come to like so many of them along the way but learned to not get too attached. As they say…no one is safe in the zombie apocalypse and this proves true with this series which makes it more realistic and edge of your seat good. Mike Evans has created such a vivid apocalyptic story that will take you on an emotional ride that will have you cheering one minute and crying the next. This is a must read series for anyone who loves the zombie genre and should be added to everyone’s reading list!

I've never loved and hated a series all at the same time. In The Orphans no one is safe and I mean NO ONE. I read Divided in about 3 days, which is very quick for me, as I hated to put it down. I just had to know what was going to happen and who was not going to make it. I would imagine if the ZA ever happened survival would be very close to Mike's series. I am relatively new to this series so I was lucky to be able to read 6 books back to back and after finishing Divided I am in need of book 7. Divided had some twists I did not see coming. I love how Shaun, even with all his experience and training, still makes mistakes reminding us he is still just a kid making his way in this new world. Things never seem to go as planned for our young hero. I can assure you The Orphans is a great series all the way through book 6, Divided.

This series just gets better and better. I can never say that enough. With each book these characters become more and more part of your life. You race to get through the book to find out what happens and then you have to turn around and read it again because you can't believe what happened. At least that's been my experience with each book in the series. It's also been my experience with all of Mike Evans books. This is really a series that stands on its own in a genre of zombie books that is unprecedented. There's just no other Zombie series out there like this that touches on this perspective. You get a sense of how the world would be from a much younger View that really opens your eyes. You definitely don't want to miss The Orphan Series

Put your seat belt on folks, this one will take you for a wild ride. I cannot give any details here because of spoilers, sorry. If you haven’t read the others you need to. If you have, your emotions will be up and down and up and down….I cursed and cried a bit. Another great one Mr. Evans. Thank you Mike Evans

This series is leaving me breathless. The action is non-stop and the zombies are more ferocious than ever. We have lost many adults and kids along the way and each one leaves me a little sadder. The teens have matured way beyond their years and have become true warriors. The story continues along in a variety of twists and turns and I cannot put it down until I have finished reading every word.I hope there will be another volume or two as I want to see it continue.

This is another well written story of the survival of teens amongst the turned a.k.a. zombies! This author makes you feel compassion for the characters and the details included puts you right into the heart of the action. I will be eagerly waiting for the next one in this series! I recommend you read this series as you will not be disappointed!

I really, really love this series by Mike Evans but I hate that so many of the good people get killed off. Personally, I will be happy when Shaun learns and does what he feels he has to do and get himself back to the base. Ok, Mike, I need the next book now so I hope that it is almost ready!
